The ETC Cooperative has been established as a Delaware-incorporated 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the Ethereum Classic ecosystem.
Mission
The ETC Cooperative's mission is to steward the development of the Ethereum Classic protocol and support the growth of the ETC ecosystem through:
- Core protocol development support
- Infrastructure maintenance
- Community coordination
- Educational initiatives
Focus Areas
Development
Supporting client development teams working on Core-Geth and other critical infrastructure.
Infrastructure
Maintaining public RPC endpoints, block explorers, and other essential services.
Community
Coordinating ecosystem participants, organizing events, and facilitating collaboration.
Education
Creating resources to help developers and users understand and use Ethereum Classic.
Governance
The Cooperative operates transparently, publishing financial reports and development updates. It does not control the protocol but serves as one of several organizations supporting ETC.
Funding
The Cooperative is funded through donations and grants, operating as a nonprofit in service of the ETC community.
