About ECIP-1017
ECIP-1017established Ethereum Classic's monetary policy, implementing a disinflationary emission schedule inspired by Bitcoin's halving model.
The "Fifthing" (20% reduction, or keeping 4/5ths) occurs approximately every 2.5 years, gradually reducing new supply entering circulation.
